Open Country

Open Country are a Yorkshire based Charity whose mission is to help people with disabilities to access and enjoy the countryside.

I have planned and delivered a variety of one-off workshops encouraging participants to enjoy creativity whilst outdoors or responding to nature wherever possible.

Accessible and Adapted Workshops have included:

• Air-Dry Clay coasters and pots at Pugney's Country Park using found stems and leaves to emboss.

• Macrame plant pot hangers and hanging shelves using wood slices at Horbury Canal

• Embossed Art using found materials at Pugney's Country Park

• Kumihimo braided bracelets and lanyard straps inspired by the colours from an outdoor walk at Ackbrigg and Belle Vue Community Centre
