The Crafty Creatives

The Crafty Creatives is a a non-profit CIC supporting women and families through creativity.

I was invited in teaching some classes for their 'Canvas of Hope' project. The classes included watercolours, embossing, collage and stitch with the emphasis on learning new techniques whilst supporting each other through their cancer journeys with creativity.

I believe creativity often serves as a conduit for conversation. You have something else to focus on and you can dip in and out of the conversations depending on how you feel in that moment, but being around people who are experiencing the same as you, provides comfort and safety to talk about things you are going through, that you may not talk about with other people.
