Festive Embossing Class - Holmfirth

➡ What will we be doing? Artist and Teacher, Ruth Fones will take you step by step to create your own original embossed Christmas cards. During this guided embossing workshop you will be introduced to both hand and machine embossing techniques. We will use a variety of hand embossing tools to first draw your design on tactile drawing paper - the surface of the paper raises up as you draw! Then you will create your own embossing plate using collage techniques to run through the embossing press. You can then adjust your collage, combine techniques or create another to have a few designs to choose from. 🕒 How long is the class? The class is a 3 hour class with a break half way to grap a cuppa and maybe some gorgeous cake from Unity Yard! 🔲 What will I take home? You will leave the class with a range of embossed Christmas cards. All materials, tools, papers and frames included. You will also take home the skills to carry on exploring hand embossing techniques independently. 💥 Please note: This class is £30 per adult, £20 per child. This workshop has a step free entrance but isn't wheelchair accessible. Please let us know in advance if this entrance is required, otherwise it's just a few steps up to the front door. There will be a refreshment break when you can purchase coffees, cakes or some lunch from the venue or stay afterwards and have a look around the shop. This class is also suitable for attendees with limited vision as the techniques can be taught through touch rather than vision. Please contact me for more information.
