This painting evolved from an interview with a partially sighted person living with Choroideremia.
“There are thousands of flashes of lines in my field of vision”
Choroideremia:
Choroideremia symptoms often start in childhood and the first symptom is usually night blindness, then it progresses to tunnel vision and then loss of central vision. This means the individual experiences visual disturbances in all parts of their vision. This condition affects the choroid, a layer of blood vessels behind the retina. It is inherited and more common in males.
