This painting evolved from an interview with a partially sighted person living with keratoconus
 
“My vision is blurred both near and far, so neither long sighted or short sighted, which means everything is just blurred”
 
With keratoconus, the cornea becomes more of a “bulge” and more irregular in shape, inducing astigmatism and causing reduced vision and blurred lights. It typically starts in the teenage years and more complications can arise when the individual gets older.
